The Alliance for Aging Research is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. that was founded to promote medical research to improve the human experience of aging.〔(Alliance for Aging Research - About Us ), ''Alliance for Aging'' website, accessed Oct 9, 2009〕 Founded in 1986 by Daniel Perry, the Alliance also advocates and implements health education for consumers and health professionals. The Alliance is governed by a board of directors and a science advisory board. Susan Peschin is the chief executive officer and president. == Policy == Main policy areas include aging research funding, FDA funding, stem cell research funding and improving health care for older Americans.
